Serena is a senior majoring in Forensic Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She loves this club and all that it stands for. Serena hopes that this club not only provides a space for people to feel like a community, but also to provide academic support. She wants to peruse a career in forensic toxicology in hopes of bringing peace to families and victims experiencing injustices. She is currently in the Radlauer lab where she has been learning about Ruthenium based catalysts and how to improve their selectivity. In her free time, Serena enjoys cooking, going to the beach, hanging with friends, and spending time with her cat.

Sukhmani is a fourth year majoring in forensic science with a concentration in biology and minor in chemistry. She studied abroad in Scotland at the University of Strathclyde’s Forensic Science Centre. She is part of Dr. Barash’s forensic genetics research team. Her career goal is to become a Criminalist. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. (edited)

Alexis is a senior majoring in forensic biology with a minor in chemistry. She holds an A.S. in biology from Bakersfield College along with a certificate in American Sign Language. Her career goal is to work in a crime lab, specializing in DNA analysis. When she is not studying, she enjoys playing The Sims, spending time with her cats, hitting the gym, and relaxing at the beach.

Hailey is a sophomore at SJSU and is majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Forensic Studies. She is an officer for the finance team and can't wait to get started and contribute to the club! :)

Abigail is in her third year at SJSU majoring in forensic science, CSI. She is originally from Scotland and moved to San Jose around 10 years ago! In her off time, she loves to thrift, hang out with friends and family, and do arts and crafts. Abi is super happy to be a part of FSC as Head of Membership and Co-Director of the PMP, as it has provided her with so many new opportunities and great connections along the way. After college, she hopes to complete a master's program to bring her closer to her goal of being a blood spatter analyst.

Jalak Parekh is a sophomore majoring in Forensic Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She was part of the 2025 study abroad cohort in Scotland where she took part in a 2 week course in Scottish forensic science at the University of Strathclyde. In the future, she hope to work in a crime lab after getting her master’s degree. She enjoys solving jigsaw puzzles and watching crime shows in her free time

Shannon is in her last semester as a Forensic Science CSI major and will be graduating in Fall 2025. She studied abroad in Scotland, interned at the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, and most recently at the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office. After graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree and hopes to become a medicolegal death investigator or crime scene technician.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, traveling to new places, making matcha, exploring different foods, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves music and going to concerts whenever she can.

NIKKI PANDITA

Nikki is a sophomore and is majoring in forensic science CSI. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends, go to the gym, and watch shows. Some of her favorite shows are Criminal Minds, Friends, and The Rookie. She wants to be a CSI, where she can be out on the crime scenes analyzing and collecting evidence. She is very excited to be part of the event team and looks forward to meeting everyone!

Jisoo is a fourth-year majoring in Forensic Science: Crime Scene Investigation. She studied at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow for the 2024 Scotland Study Abroad program. After graduation, she plans on working for a year and then applying to a master's program to pursue a career as a crime scene technician or death investigator. Outside of academics, she enjoy dyeing her hair, cooking/baking, studying bugs & plants, spending time with people, and travelling. She also loves music, but especially rock and metal.

Marlene is a fourth year majoring in Forensic Science (Biology concentration) and a minor in Chemistry. She was a part of Dr. Bolton’s research program and is currently apart of Dr. Warren’s research project! She hopes to one day be apart of the Biology Unit at a crime lab. In her free time she enjoys drawing, crafting, and anything that has to do with DIY.

VALERIE MATA 

Valerie is a senior majoring in Forensic Science CSI. Her hobbies outside of school are going to rock concerts, drawing digital art, watching anime/series, playing video games, and listening to music or podcasts. Her favorite artists are Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, and more. After college she plans on attending a police academy to become a police officer to then become a CSI.

Cheyla, also known as Chae is a freshman and is from Hayward, CA. In her free time she loves to read, bake, and  travel around the bay area. She is looking forward to meeting new people and share more about her personal interests. She is super excited to be an officer and be a part of the marketing team!

Nina is a senior majoring in Forensic Biology at SJSU. She was a part of the University of Strathclyde's Forensic Science Study Abroad Summer Program in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2025. Outside of school, she likes playing piano, listening to music, embroidering, and journaling. She is also apart of the waterpolo and dance club on campus. Her future career goals are to be either a forensic pathologist or a pathology assistant. She’s so excited to work with everyone in the club!

Rhea is a senior majoring in Forensic Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She was a part of the University of Strathclyde's Forensic Science Study Abroad Summer Program in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2024. She wants to work in a forensic biology lab, as an autopsy technician, or as a forensic science professor in University of Baguio, Philippines. Outside of school, she loves collecting vinyl records or trinkets that are spooky ‘n gothic.

Erika is a Biological Science (Systems Physiology) major who's double minoring in Chemistry and Forensics. She is a multi-lab researcher in the Singhal Bio. phAGE lab and the Miller inorganic Chemistry Lab. She is still undecided with her career, but loves research and investigation. She plans to graduate school to continue experimenting. On the weekends, she works as a dental assistant and shadows carious science fields. In her free time she enjoys playing cutesy games and napping. She is very excited to share a more artistic side of herself with everyone through her officer position.

Mia is a a junior majoring in Forensics with a concentration in Biology and minoring in Child Development and Chemistry. She has always been drawn to the medical field and how it intersects with forensic science to uncover the truth to help others. Her goal is to work in a field where she can combine science, healthcare, and advocacy for children and families, Outside of academics, Mia enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering, traveling, and trying new things, She is always eager to learn, grow, and connect with others, A fun fact about Mia is that her favorite color is pink even though she wears black all the time.

Jasmine is a freshman and is super into sports and loves playing sports. She loves being outdoors, trying new foods, and meeting new people.
